STAR VOYAGE — FAQ

The questions players actually ask, answered.

Is STAR VOYAGE free?

Yes. The game is completely free to play in your browser. There is no download, no installation, and no account required.

Does STAR VOYAGE cost money or have in-game purchases?

No. There are no real-money purchases of any kind. All in-game progression — pilots, upgrades, and items — is earned by playing. The game is supported by optional ads that you can watch in exchange for rewards (see below).

Do I need to create an account?

No. Your progress is saved automatically on your device, and the leaderboard uses an anonymous player ID generated locally. You never log in, and we never ask for personal information.

Where is my progress saved?

Progress is saved in your browser's local storage on the device you play on. This means:

On partner platforms that provide cloud saves (for example, when the game runs inside a game portal's frame), the game uses the platform's storage system, so progress can follow you on that platform.

What devices does STAR VOYAGE support?

Any modern desktop or mobile browser with WebGL enabled: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and mobile Safari/Chrome. The game adapts between portrait (mobile) and landscape (desktop) layouts automatically.

Why do I see ads?

The game is free and ad-supported. Ads appear only as:

You are never forced to watch an ad. Every ad reward also has a non-ad alternative (spend in-game currency instead).

Do I need to watch ads to progress?

No. Ads are strictly optional shortcuts. Every pilot that can be unlocked with an ad can also be bought with meta currency earned through play. The daily limit on ad unlocks exists precisely so that ads never gate progression.

How does the leaderboard work?

At the end of a run your score is submitted to the leaderboard under an anonymous player ID. You can see the top scores and your own rank. Scores on the daily challenge are directly comparable because every player gets the same seeded run that day.

My score didn't save. Why?

The most common causes:

What happens if I close the tab mid-run?

Your run progress is saved in a run snapshot. When you return, the game offers to resume from your last saved wave instead of starting over.

How many pilots are there?

There are 20 pilots, each with unique stats, a passive ability, and a unique ultimate. Several are available from the start; the rest are unlocked through kills, meta currency, and daily challenge rewards.

I found a bug. Where do I report it?

Email [email protected] and describe what happened, which browser/device you were on, and if possible the wave and what you were doing at the time.

Can I use assets or the game's content?

The game and its assets are original and owned by the developer. Please contact us before reusing any art, audio, or code.
