Strategy Tips for STAR VOYAGE

Pilot picks, item builds, and the habits that extend your run.

1. Pick a pilot for a plan, not a vibe

Each of the 20 pilots changes how you build items. A few archetypes worth knowing:

2. Spend run stars before the run ends

Run stars convert to permanent meta currency at a 5:1 ratio, so an unspent star in the shop is a lost star. If a shop offer is mediocre but affordable, buy it anyway — a weak item is worth more than nothing at all.

3. Understand item evolution

Many items evolve into strictly better versions when combined with a partner item. Before you reroll a shop or skip an offer, check whether it completes an evolution with what you already hold. A completed evolution usually outvalues two random singles.

4. Read the wave timer

Every wave is timed, and your rating depends on clearing before the target. But there is a difference between clearing fast and clearing early:

5. Boss patterns are telegraphed

Bosses wind up before attacking. Learn the wind-up tells for each boss type:

6. Hold your ultimate for the right moment

A full ultimate bar does not expire. Saving it for a boss wave or a dense panic situation converts it into far more value than firing it on a quiet wave. On dangerous pilots, an ultimate that heals or grants invulnerability is your panic button — never enter a boss fight without it if you can help it.

7. Contracts: take the deal you can actually pay

Contracts trade a restriction for a payout. Read the handicap before accepting:

8. One revive per run — spend it wisely

Each run allows a single rewarded-video revive that restores HP, grants a shield, and gives brief invulnerability. Save it for the moment it actually extends your run. Using it on wave 3 because of one careless mistake often wastes it.

9. Daily challenge: consistency beats peak

The daily challenge is a seeded run identical for every player. Your leaderboard position there depends on surviving and clearing efficiently, not on luck — so focus on clean execution rather than greedy contracts.
